96 SERIES 48V ALTERNATOR (BALMAR)

Description

Pair with the New MC-620 Regulator to combine the advantages of Balmar?s multi-stage regulation capability in a 48V charging system. 48V systems fill the need for ever-increasing power requirements from DC battery systems. The benefits of a 48V system include much more efficient components such as chargers and inverters, manageable cable sizes, and higher output alternators. Lithium batteries can be charged at very high rates. The 96-Series makes more power at lower RPM that competitive units, limiting the need for complex pulley schemes or over-throttling the engine at idle. For lithium battery applications, the MC-620 regulator will disable charging for battery temperatures at or below 0°C (32°F). The MC-TS-A and MC-TS-B temperature sensors are both required for lithium battery charging.
